Jean-Duceppe Fund

Fonds Jean-Duceppe Anglais

The Fonds Jean-Duceppe of the Artists’ Foundation may be for you. The purpose of this Fund is to support professional artists going through a precarious period. It is a one-time, non-permanent assistance

Details

The Artists’ Foundation uses the Act Respecting the Professional Status and Conditions of Engagement of Artists to define the term “artist”. With rare exceptions, the Fonds Jean-Duceppe is specifically intended for artists working in the performing arts, audiovisual or film sectors;

Definition of an artist:

– Declares himself/herself a professional artist;
– Creates works or practices art on his own account or offers his services, for remuneration, as a creator or performer;
– Has peer recognition;
– Disseminates or publicly performs works in a venue or context recognized by peers.

* Due to the large number of financial support applications received by the Artists’ Foundation, only one application can be submitted annually, regardless of the type of funding requested.*
