The Psychosocial Support Fund aims to provide access to psychosocial assistance services for artists and professional workers in the cultural sector experiencing psychological distress.

This program is made possible through financial support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ).

Details of services offered, modalities and types of approach

This program provides financial assistance to cover the cost of consultations with psychosocial professionals, such as psychotherapists, social workers, mediators, financial planners, and legal advisors, for artists and cultural workers facing emotional distress.

Three options are available to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria :

1- Access free consultations with qualified professionals selected as part of a recognized and recommended support program by the Foundation (psychologists, social workers, mediators, financial planners, and dietitians). This support includes up to 5 hours of consultations for emotional support or career guidance, as well as two one-hour sessions for financial support or nutrition. (Option 1)

2- Receive up to $700 in reimbursement for consultations with a qualified professional of your choice (psychologist, psychotherapist, sexologist, or social worker), applicable to consultations conducted after your acceptance into the Psychosocial Support Fund. (Option 2)

* For this option, your therapist must be a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ), the Ordre professionnel des sexologues du Québec (OPSQ), the Association des psychologues du Québec (APQ), or the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ).

3- Benefit from legal advice, assistance, and support in a chosen field (business, insurance, civil, criminal, family, housing, estate, employment, or other) through our partnership with Juripop. This service includes up to 3 hours of consultations with a lawyer, who can answer your questions and help you structure your case. Please note that representation in court is not included. Additionally, depending on the complexity of the case, some criminal and penal law services may not be available. (Option 3)
