The Artists’ Fund of the Artists’ Foundation may be for you. The purpose of this Fund is to support professional artists going through a precarious period. It is a one-time, non-permanent assistance

Details

Three support funds for Québec creators are joining the Artists’ Fund. From now on, artists who are members of SARTEC, RAAV, and APASQ can submit their applications for assistance directly to the Artists’ Fund.

Affiliated Funds:

  • SARTEC Fund: For current and former members of SARTEC.

  • Serge-Lemoyne Fund (RAAV): For members of RAAV.

  • Prévost-Bussières Fund (APASQ): For artist members of APASQ.

If you are eligible for one of these funds, we encourage you to submit an application for support.

The Artists’ Foundation uses the Act Respecting the Professional Status and Conditions of Engagement of Artists to define the term “artist”. With rare exceptions, the Artists’ Fund is specifically intended for artists working in the performing arts, audiovisual or film sectors;

Definition of an artist:

– Declares himself/herself a professional artist;
– Creates works or practices art on his own account or offers his services, for remuneration, as a creator or performer;
– Has peer recognition;
– Disseminates or publicly performs works in a venue or context recognized by peers.

* Due to the high volume of requests for financial assistance, the Artist’s Foundation can only accept one application for financial aid per year. However, psychosocial support is also available to help promote your well-being. To learn more about these services, click here.*
