The Québecor fund for emerging artists is a concrete initiative designed to support young talents at a pivotal moment in their professional journey.

Details

Its objective : enable emerging artists to fully devote themselves to their art.

This contribution must be used for the development and advancement of your career and not for the promotion or marketing of your artistic projects.

Each selected artist receives $2,250, distributed in three consecutive monthly payments of $750, thus providing short-term financial support.

The Québecor Fund helps prevent artists from abandoning their careers and strengthens the next generation of creators, which is essential to Québec’s cultural vitality.

The Fondation des artistes thanks Québecor for its commitment and support, which make this program possible and help foster the next generation of Québec artists.

* Due to the high volume of requests for financial assistance, the Artist’s Foundation can only accept one application for financial aid per year. However, psychosocial support is also available to help promote your well-being. To learn more about these services, click here.*

Eligibility criteria

Here are the main eligibility criteria

Be an emerging artist who has been professionally active over the past two years in the performing arts or audiovisual sector. Projects completed as part of an internship or studies will not be considered.
Hold a postsecondary diploma from a recognized Québec institution in a performing arts or audiovisual discipline. The diploma must have been obtained in 2020 or later; certificates or supplemental training (e.g., INIS, UDA, etc.) are not considered.
Clearly demonstrate how this fund can contribute to the development and advancement of your professional career.
Not have received financial support from the Fondation des artistes within the past 12 months, except under the Equilibrium Program or the Psychosocial Support Fund.
Have tax residency in Québec.
Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of submitting your application.

Only one application per person will be accepted, until funds are exhausted.

To submit your application, please fill in the form simply and confidentially using our online platform.

Before you begin, please have the following information and documents ready:

A brief description (minimum 150 words) explaining how this financial support could contribute to the development and advancement of your artistic career.
A photo of your valid health insurance card or driver’s license.
Page 2 (calculation details) of your 2024 notice of assessment from Revenu Québec.
An up-to-date résumé including the years of your contracts.
A postsecondary diploma from a recognized Québec institution in a performing arts or audiovisual discipline. The diploma must have been obtained in 2020 or later; certificates or supplemental training (e.g., INIS, UDA, etc.) are not considered.
Any other relevant supporting documents.
